  • Engine: Clone R3 Heads Get Fitted for Titanium Valves

Big excitement today! Precision Engine II in Sylvania, GA has been diligently working on my race heads. David Parris is going to run them on a hi-po 259 in his Avanti land speed car. The working name for the car is Carolina Salt Shaker (at least that's what DeepnHock and I call it). Ultimately, they will run on my somewhat larger than stock CID race block, but there's no reason for them to just set around until then. Jeff Ford sent pics of their progress. I'll link Sonny's Racing Studebakers site as there are many pics. If you like exotic Studebaker parts, I think these are beginning to qualify.

Another little upgrade. The conversion plate is done with UHMW, just to fit everything up. The real ones will be billet. The locks on top of the roller rockers are tall to accommodate the stud girdle.

          1.875" intake
          1.625" exhaust

The pic with the roller rocker conversion is just a stock Stude piece, btw.
