Only the R3 (and R5) used the Forged True Pistons....R2's used the very same pistons as R1's, which were cast.
R4's also had forged pistons by Forged True, albeit they were un-supercharged.

Yes, they used the very same pistons as any 289 from 56-63 (64 changed the design to slipper skirt), and were cast.
