I want to know the name of the post the door latch closes on to keep the door latched/closed. is it the striker? where can I find front fenders 1960 lark 2dr ht

Your car does not use a post like many other makes do.
Your car uses a Striker Plate . It is a plate with a little flipper and a
guide bar. Available from some of the vendors.Bill H

Door lock strikers are prone to break if not cared for. Over time they are becoming scarce. Price reflects scarcity.
Good steel fenders will only be found by networking through the Forum, SDC, Turning Wheels or swap meets.
Classic Enterprises makes patch panels for the areas that are usually the first to go. If what you have can be repaired they are worth saving.
Additional option is fiberglass.

Why "assembly" you ask? Because each Striker is "assembled" using six (6) different parts!
