  • Engine: What carb is used on this Champion manifold?

First attempt to replace broken manifold resulted in this one.
What carb and model of Champion is it from? The studs on the original are 2 5/8" apart, while this one has them 3" apart.
It is to go on my '48 Champion Starlight coupe.
    Thanks for your help.
    73, Jim

The manifold you show is from a later six.
There should be casting numbers on your old manifold.
There are many varieties of six cylinder manifold and you have to get the correct one with these same number!

You should use WE carter. I have several used ones in stock. Email me at royvaldez@wildblue net or call 530-320-6299 $35.00 for used carb.

Roy, thanks, but the carb I have has just been rebuilt and I hate to have to do it all over.
Hopefully the right manifold will be found. The original manifold casting number is 515825-2.

You could take it to a machine shop and have the studs relocated or have an adaptor plate made. Neal

Neal, that was my first thought, but just did not like the idea of having to plug the heat riser vents.
              Thanks, 73, Jim
