Engine: water pump pulley size

FINALLY getting my 62 Hawk back together. Went to put on the water pump pulley and I found I had two lying around- one measures six and half inch OD and the other about seven and an eighth. Does anyone one know which is right? It will be driving an alternator that has a three inch pulley, if that makes any difference. thanks-

and it's a 289 V8

Got Air? The Air Conditioned Cars use a smaller Pulley and usually a viscous drive fan.

Under normal operating conditions you want a pulley on the water pump the same size as on the crank.
