Just finished removing the window and 'vent' window from the passenger's door on my '57 Golden Hawk. Kind of a pain, all in all, took most of the afternoon. I'm a long ways away from doing any restoration of it it (still tearing down to the chassis.....) but a couple questions come to mind:
-how bad is REASSEMBLING this whole mess, with new rubber, weather-stripping, etc.??? Besides having to get all those little spring clips in on the BACK side of the retainers?
-The rollers on the window frame (that ride in the tracks) are shot; must have been frozen up for years, flat spots on most of them. Are these repairable units are do you have to have a good 'used' one? I"ve not checked around at all yet, for all I know maybe they are available new now too.
-was going to ask about doors, but maybe should do new post for that one :-)
