  • Engine: April TW-- New style main Brg. Seal

On page 21 of the April TW magazine there is a lot of info on a new style rear, main bearing seal. Unfortunintly no information on where it can be purchased. Has anyone out there had any experience buying or installing this seal?

On a related note does anyone have copies of the articles in the July, August and September 1983 Turning Wheels to sell; I would also be interested in the three magazines.

Would love to lick the annoying oil leak i have.

    Thanks, Murray

Murray: That was the "new style" seal circa 1960.

'Virtually any seal produced or installed since then is this "new style;" it's nothing we've come up with recently.

'Sorry if the article was misleading in that regard. BP

We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

Do you really want to do that? <G> Doesn't sound very tasteful or sanitary to me <G>>
