12V to 6V signal conversion

Just found out my directional signal switch has disassembled itself Rather than try to put it back together, thought I would buy one of these 12V units if it will work on my 6V system. If I just change the 12V flasher solonoid to a 6V flasher, is there any reason it would not work?

It should work so long as the pin configuration is the same on the two flashers.

Confused.....what does the directional switch have to do with the flasher? The turn signal switch is mounted in the steering column and the flasher is plugged into the board with the couple fuses and circuit breaker. The TS switch does not care at wich voltage it runs at.

If you car is ugly then it better be fast.....
