  • Engine: Can anyone I.D. this?

    Hello,

we have a couple Studes and I noticed these on the V8's. One on each side not hooked to anything.
Anyone have an idea as to what the are for? Also we have a 58 Packard badged T T does anyone know what that stands for ?

    Thanks in advance

No attachment! The TT badge is for Twin Traction (Posi rear end).

TT stands for twin traction differential. Your photos didn’t display so can answer any other questions.

I can't see it clearly but it looks like it plugs into power? That is an engine block heater for cold climates.

That's right. Called a head bolt heater. Did work better than a dipstick heater but the oil was still cold and thick with a head bolt heater
