Hi blokes,
I recently picked up two 6 cylinder cars from Belgium. A 62 and a 64
Both low milage and very original and ex a genuine Studebaker dealer. I have no experience with these motors at all.
I had the Hawk up and running again for the first time in at least 10 years last weekend and the motor is a little smokey and I can imagine that the valve guide rubber seals have become brittle with age.
Can I change them out the same way I would do it on a V8 by removing the rocker arm and injecting compressed air into the cylinder to keep the valves up to change the rubber seal over ???
Also, is that rubber seal the same as the one in a V8 head as I have plenty of them around here that I can use?
Thanks for your help
Greg
