Local Studebaker enthusiasts from the North Alabama Chapter braved the rainy weather and toured Huntsville today stopping for photo ops at the
-- U.S. Space and Rocket Center in front of the SR-71 Blackbird
-- the Russel Erskine Hotel built in 1925 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980
-- the Historic Huntsville Depot Roundhouse.

There was a 1927 Commander, 1937 Dictator, 1955 President, 1955 Commander, 1957(?) Hawk, and 1963 Avanti. The driver of the 1927 Commander had a huge golf umbrella to keep the raindrops off but I'm not sure how successful that was. Luckily the showers were hit and miss.
