Doctors for the computer illiterate:

I just posted a new topic in the technical talk. For some reason an "edit reply" icon and a "delete topic" icon appear in the far right column. This has happened to me many times before. Why is that? What am I doing wrong?

Nothing wrong, Dave. If you are logged in, only you will see those icons on your own messages. If you are not logged in, even you WON'T see them. That's how your messages look to everyone else. (so don't worry, only you can delete or edit your own posts, since we don't see icons on your messages).

If you feel the need to delete a post or to add/change information to one, those icons are the way to do it.

Your computer is not sick. Take two aspirin anyway.
