Can anyone recommend an excellent painter in Southern California?

Ask local car club members (or a SDC chapter if there is one) or rodders for suggestions.

There are few excellent painters in So Cal anymore, they have all retired, died or were run out of business by the EPA. What few that are left are expensive. On the pics. you have to take the [IMG] at the beginning and end of the pic. when you paste it and edit it to [img] small case.

I have a guy in Long Beach that does SUPERB work. He might not be able to get to your car for 2-3 months and it will take him another couple of months to do the car, but he's the best for the money I know of in SoCal.

What's your budget? I have seen his $4000 jobs (really good), his $6000 jobs (really, REALLY good) and a couple of $10K jobs that are full-on show quality in every way.

He painted my '56 Champion hot rod for $5000--ended up a couple of hundred more than that because I added a couple of little things (steering column, dashboard).

Not all worthy painters are dead or have left California.
