    Neither... or Both
It's one of them with the '56 Sky Hawk "checkmark" trim on the side...

    OR.. it's possibly an export...

I don't know how you'd tell from that picture.

If you think it sits up a little in the front, then my guess would be
a flight hawk. The 6 cylinder cars seem to sit a little higher in
the front than the V-8 cars do.

However, as highly optioned as this car appears it may be a power
hawk. If someone wanted a 6 cyl it surely was to save money so I would think flight hawks would tend to be stripped down.

My guess is it was taken in a Foreign Country, with that strange emblem on the grille, and the Sky Hawk moulding on the quarter panel. But it is a 50-50 toss-up, 6 or 8!

Although only a few late ones had that "Studebaker script (originally) and if it is original, it is missing the V-8, so it could be a Flight Hawk 6. That would be the ONLY exterior difference, in front anyway and it only works on certain build dates.

Of course from the rear you might see dual exhausts if it has the "power kit", and the "Power" Hawk nameplate.

Nope, not a foreign country. It's in downtown New Bern, North Carolina. Never been there but I do Google regularly.

If it's a foreign country, they speak English and have signs like in the USA.

Here's a Power Hawk with the check-mark trim level. There is a Flight Hawk near here that also has that check-mark as well.

Yep, that's Gay Wittenburg's car from San Francisco with Larry Chalfant's '54 Commander next to it, she had it painted more like a '57, and someone had added that Sky Hawk check mark mldg. like many owners and Dealers did on Power Hawks, because they look incomplete with only the short moulding on the quarter panel.
