    Woo-Hoo; we made it!

Congrats to future SDC President Don Jones and many thanks to Hemmings Daily Blog Dan Strohl for today's Hemmings Daily Blog entry:

Cool beans: We're on a roll here! BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

    Ayn Rand:
"You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality."

    G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.

Way to go! It is a nice write up, and will hopefully put the word out there, for the possibility of more donations to the cause. An interesting bit of information, the owner considered donating it to the museum, but wanted the car to continue racing rather than sit in a museum. If I hit the lotto in the near future, I will buy it, let the museum show it off, and take it out for an occasional race, and car show.

    Tom,
You reside near the location of the Silver State Classic. Go buy your Lotto tickets so we can see you race this Indy special at the Classic.

Wow, some very negative comments. However the suggestion of a "go fund me page" might be a good one.

Because of the uncertainty of actual purchase a Go Fund me Page is out. Better to gather pledges and know the money is there than to have to refund it if the SNM is not successful/ Mr. Barrack still looking for your pledge. It' would aid the cause.
See you in the future as I write about our past
