Cool/Heat: Location of hood brace on A/C GTs

Can someone with a GT that has original A/C installed post a picture of the condenser mounting and especially the hood brace? I believe my parts car was tampered with as additional holes were drilled above where the original holes are for the brace on the left and the clip on the right. Perhaps this was done to clear the condenser itself. What is CORRECT? Thanks for any help.

Thank you ColoradoHawk. I do need to see the right side where the clip is for the hood support. Could you post a pic of the rod itself as I believe it is different from a non-A/C rod. I may need to buy or make one. My condenser mounts in the same position and hardware as yours does.

This 1954 GT has a factory AC. It originally belonged to a fellow that worked at ONAN Corporation.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to take and post pics. It appears that the factory drilled additional holes above the regular non-A/C holes and reinstalled the clip for the base of the hood support rod on the passenger side. They apparently added the clip with a bolt attaching it on the driver's side also above the original hole as the rivet was not used. My condenser is attached at the top with the bolt heads OUT with the lock and nut toward the radiator. I still am not sure what the rod should look like as there is a difference shown. I thought there would be a bend also where it clips in the down position.

64 Factory air

I just wanted to show my 64 GT Hawk Factory air pics.





It would seem that in the pics above, the hose routing wasn't well thought out with them running over the top of the belts. However with my rig, it's going to be a challenge to remove that lower hose from the compressor without a lot of other things first..

The parts book shows 2 different prop rods with or without A/C. Depending on the condensor you may be able to use either one.

I dunno. Also, the anchor/pivot end has an interesting double bend. It looks like a factory job (versus local fab), fits like a glove, everything clears nicely, and it deploys and stows easily. My other two Hawks have the crook at the top, about 6" long, where it attaches to the hood when raised. But neither of those cars came stock with AC, as the one in the pix above did.

If anyone has a body parts manual, it would be interesting to see if there are different part numbers for props on AC equipped cars.
