Have always wondered why someone has not found a newer style gasket that would squeeze over that inside lip and leave most of that channel open for all the "stuff" to be able to move down and out...

You can see the shifter inside the car. Looks like the left side to me.

Reasonable in cost. I may just buy a small piece and try it. A one foot piece is only $2.75.

The only thing I'm sure of is death and taxes. This was in with the bunch of Stude rubber I bought from Kent (a great and fair Stude guy by the way).
It looks like my rubber will work better than your rubber. <G>

If and when I get the trunk lid on, I'll let you know. <GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG> I hope not. I might try a Washington first and work my way up to a Benjamin.
