Which is the best way to install trunk rubber seals?

    This way?

Have always wondered why someone has not found a newer style gasket that would squeeze over that inside lip and leave most of that channel open for all the "stuff" to be able to move down and out...

IF that is the Left Fender & Body Side, then the 1st. Pic.

IF it is the RIGHT Fender, then it's the 2nd. Both looking from the REAR?

You can see the shifter inside the car. Looks like the left side to me.

            You mean like this.

Reasonable in cost. I may just buy a small piece and try it. A one foot piece is only $2.75.

              It is the driver's side.

Are you sure that is the correct seal for the trunk? I bought a kit from SI and the trunk seal looks slightly different.Click image for larger version

The only thing I'm sure of is death and taxes. This was in with the bunch of Stude rubber I bought from Kent (a great and fair Stude guy by the way).
It looks like my rubber will work better than your rubber. <G>

Can you pull a Benjamin from the closed truck seal area? IAC, nice work. You make excellent progress when you put your mind to it. Bob

If and when I get the trunk lid on, I'll let you know. <GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG> I hope not. I might try a Washington first and work my way up to a Benjamin.
