  • T-86 od removal

Has anyone removed a t-86 with OD from a wagonaire without removing the motor? I tried earlier this year but found the tail stock would not go back far enough into the X-member to allow the input shaft to drop past the bell housing. The governor and soleniod were removed to give maximum clearance but it was still a no go. I finally had to pull the motor, I would prefer not to.
    Any suggestions?

I have done it with a 289 O.D. T-86 '63 Daytona Wagonaire, I do not see why you could not, sure it requires turning the trans in the correct position and "working" it out, not easy but possible.
