What amperage does the power window motor draw on my 64 Avanti?

They pull a lot of amps. The wiring harness for the motors use 10 gauge wiring. I used to see the ammeter swing to -25 - -30 amps if the window was raised with the engine off. You should keep the regulators maintained as well as the gear on top of the motor. Early Avanti doors were a bit on the weak side and panel flex is an issue. Slow operation generally means something needs lubrication. It can be a bent regulator also.

Thanks Bob, I feel it's not the motor and something dragging. I will dive in to procedure. Steve
