  • Cool/Heat: Dash knobs

I have a 52 commander dash and I don't understand what the knobs do.
    Can someone here enlighten me.

The far left is labeled "Start". This would be in vehicles with automatic transmissions. In my '51 Commander that is a "T" handle switch located in the delete plug of the plate suspended under the dash. The second from right is marked "heat"; pull for temperature, roll to the left "D" for defrost and to the right "AD" for air and defrost; both should have two speed positions. The one to the right is lights; pull for parking or headlights, roll left for map (dome) and right for instruments.
