carb base gasket

just got carb back from dave t. the base gasket is different from end to end one end is much wider. anyone had any experience with which way they go. would appreciate any imput 1960 lark 6 cyl w/carter 1 barrell dave does beautiful work am well pleased.

If you mean that it's THICKER at one end than it is on the other, the thick end goes towards the rear of the car.
