  • Cool/Heat: Leaking heater control valve '61 Lark

    Hi, guys:

Does anyone know where I can get a new heater control valve, or a kit to repair my original? The car is a 1961 Lark VI. I've checked several Studebaker vendors, and even Googled it, and it's possible to obtain kits and valves for '59-'60 as well as '62-'66 Larks. As a '61 owner, I appear to be in a spot.

If the valve can't be directly replaced or fixed, will a universal, cable-operated heater control valve work? I've noticed none of the aftermarket universals have the steel "flying saucer" shaped housing that mine has.

    What do you guys think?

    Thanks in advance,

    -Dave-

    Dave,

Check with Dennis DuPont in Derry, NH. He may have an NOS one.
