  • Other: 63 Hawk R2 Decal placement

This decal is on the top of my radiator, where is it on your Hawk? SI's catalog says it goes on the inner fender near the battery.

The Battery Warning Decal goes on Inner Fender near the battery, NO decals go on the Shroud at all, no Caution Fan Warning, nothing. There should be a Paxton Plaque on the Supercharger, an Air Cleaner Decal, a Studebaker Battery Decal on the Battery and a Radiator filler neck Studebaker Antifreeze Tag.

The Oil Caps get the "STP added at the Factory" Stickers.

The Chrome Valve Covers COULD get the aftermarket "Studebaker 289" Decals if desired.

The edge of the Driver's Door gets the Fluorescent Orange paper TT Warning sticker.

The Gas Cap gets the Premium ONLY Fuel Decal.

Found an old receipt for paintwork on the left fender, bodyman must have removed the sticker and stuck it on top of the radiator. Does anyone have a picture of the location on the fender where this decal belongs?

I can show you several Pics of where NOT to put it. Most of my Pics are zoomed in too tight to show all of the inner fender. This is the only one that shows the AREA where it goes, most likely that flat, blank area on the Front "Baffle" forward of the Horn Relay.

Hey Tim, if you can wait a couple of days I will take a photo of a US assembled 1963 GT Hawk with the decal in the correct location. During the process of recent restoration work the exact location of the decal was carefully noted. And this was an original decal on original paint.

                Chris.

Definitely NOT next to the Voltage Regulator, hopefully Chris will have it nailed down.

Also, I can't think of any reason why a JT Hawk would be any different than ANY Hawk.

Here we go. These are not great photos as all we had to work with was an Iphone, but they should show enough of the surrounding area to be useful.
