      All V8 equipped cars built between 1962 and 1964 were equipped with Prestolite distributors. If your car is equipped with a Delco distributor, it is from an earlier engine. Give us the distributor part number and we can come up with the correct part number for a vacuum advance. Bud

            If I remember correctly, you have a distributor from a 1956 to 1961 engine. I haven't been able to find a new advance unit, but someone here may have a good one for sale that fits your distributor. You can also contact ODD Parts in northern California. They can rebuild your original advance unit. Bud

              Bud, You were correct about the Prestolite. My shop manual for 2E through 8E shows the Delco.
              After your reply I checked the distributor and it was a single point Prestolite. My engine is a late
              model full flow. Found a rebuilt from Dave Thibeault. Thanks for setting me straight.
