  • Electrical: 1962 Hawk Radio Speaker Removal

I need to replace the radio speaker in the Hawk. Can't get to the nuts to tighten it down. Without removing the dash or the under dash A/C unit, is there any ideas to replace the speaker and tighten the nuts?

The speaker is bolted to a plate that is attached to the back side of the panel. You should be able to remove the plate to get at the speaker mounting screws. The speaker is a 4X8 inch speaker which is an oddball size. Electro Tech in Minnesota has the correct speaker but they aren't cheap. Their website is www.turnswitch.com. Bud
