    I usually hang the PS pump, on the complete long block with exhaust and water manifolds and leave the rest for in the car installation. I do install the distributor though. (without the cap)

    I would install the steering pump if so equipped; not the alternator, carb, fan and definitely not the distributor.

    Depends on the room you have. I like to keep the accessories off until the motor is in. Less chance of scratching, denting, or dropping it on the fender or grill surround. Just gives you all around more work space.

    I am putting my motor together on the stand, is there a engine cradle that can hold the 289? How many acessories could go on before dropping the motor in the car?
