That's beautiful! Slap a Willard sticker on the side and motor on!

I bought one from them about 3 years ago and posted the info on the news group. Buy it first, then the battery, it only fits a few brands. By the time I bought the top and found a battery to fit, I could have bought the Willard repro. If you already happen to have a battery that it fits, it's a great deal. Most of the new batteries have that plastic carry handle, and they are a no fit.

Great Jeff, now all you gotta do is ditch thoseYELLOW cell caps and make em RED and add a Willard sticker!!!

Hope it doesn't break your heart, knowing how you feel about that!

If I recall, my dad (TomB on here) made his own to cover his 6v Optima in his 53. He had it at SB this summer. Of course, I don't have pics, and I think he is on a road trip this weekend.

I bought a 6 volt tartopper top from www.quailservices.com this summer and put it on top of a cardboard box painted black with a Willard sticker on the side. I wired up a 12V garden tractor inside it. I got my First Jr. in June, a best of show in a local show, won my class in Sturbridge and got my Sr tab at Hershey last weekend. None of the judges noticed that the battery was a carboard box.

The top is a vacuum form that has been painted and is convincing, but it is 10 by 6 5/8 so it will not fit in a 55 so I added an inch to the tray to accomodate it.
