  • Interior: 64 horn button

Has anyone found a place to buy the plastic hawk that was used inside the horn button on the 64 GT, or has anyone found the best way to paint the hawk to its original gold appearance? Thanks.

Pretty hard to replicate that shiny fake gold. I would suggest you might go to a craft store such as Michaels and see what might work good enough for ya. cheers jimmijim

There are lots of custom services out there that do small-part plastic replating. Here's one in California: http://www.mmmetalizing.com/services.html

Just Google "plastic vacuum metalizing" and you'll find a raft of them. Prolly not cheap, but...!
