  • Clutch / Torque Converter: Torque Specs

What are the torque specs on the flexplate to crank nuts/bolts on a Stude V-8 with auto/PS trans? I don't see them listed in the shop manual unless I have a problem with nomenclature.
    Thanks
    Rob in PA.

Flywheel to crankshaft bolts are listed as 33-35 ft/lbs, same location just different length bolts used.

Thanks! I saw that spec but was confused as I'm not installing a 'flywheel' to the crankshaft as per a clutch set up. There is only a flex plate and reinforcement to which the torque converter is attached. I saw nothing in the shop manual on installation about flex plate to crankshaft torque. I'll go with your suggestion. I can't wait to get the '64 GT back on the road and 'utilize' the Powershift trans.! I'm sure you know the feeling as I see you have Avanti's with the same trans.
      Thanks again.
