  • Electrical: Replacing Wiper Switch on '64 GT Hawk

I need to replace the wiper switch on my '64 GT Hawk. Is the a special tool to remove the nut?

    Thanks

There is one that someone made. Check Chuck Collins site. (It's down right now). I just wiggle the switch from the rear and turn the nut. Mine might not be to tight either.

Pliers or a screwdriver just ruin the chrome Nut, so definitely get the Tool.

I would think you could use a circlip pliers...

Much better (and less expensive) idea than mine.

I needed a bezel tool a few years back and made one out of a 1/2" copper pipe fitting and some creative filing. I later bought a fancy tool on ebay, but I always end up using the one I made, it works better. Go figure...
