Got this question in email today. I don't know the answer, so I thought I'd pass the question on to those that might be able to help this gentleman.
His situation:
"I rebuild power and manual steering gears for mostly classic cars and trucks. I have a dilemma I am rebuilding a power steering gearbox for a customer with a 1953 Hawk.
When I opened the gear case I found the "worm block" on the worm gear was broken in two.
So I am searching for another block, or worm and block assy or a core that is usable. I am not sure if the Hawk used different gearboxes or different systems completely. Any help you provide would be appreciated. Thank you."

I know his car can't be a '53 Hawk... I am sending him a link to this post, but it might be helpful if you emailed him your response.
Thanks.
