  • Dash on 62 hawk

I have to replace all the bulbs in the dash or find out why they arent working. Are all the gauges fairly easy to get at to replace them not finding much out about them in manual just wondering if there is any tricks to it.

I can't imagine all of the dash bulbs burning out. I think that you have a different problem.

There is a wire to the headlight switch that services all the dash lights. I'd be looking at that connection.

I was afraid someone was going to say that how hard is it to pull the dash loose to get behind the inst panel I also have factory air.

it's easier to just work from underneath the dash, if you have air.

Before you go nuts, try grounding one of the gauges and see if it then lights up. The gauges don't have a very good ground path from the factory and time is generally not kind to it. If that works, I would just run an auxiliary ground wire through the mounting nuts of all the gauges and then to a good chassis ground, even straight to the battery is not difficult (it's just on the other side of the firewall, after all.)

            good luck,

            nate
