One more question re use of electric fuel pump on an R2 Avanti: The mechanical pump will remain in place (for appearance) but will will be disabled in terms of pumping gas; what impact will that have on the supercharger connection from the top of the mechanical pump to the the supercharger? the supercharger connection from the top of the mechanical pump to the the supercharger
is there to increase the pressure of the fuel as it enters the carburetor. If the pump is putting out 3 1/2 lbs of pressure and the SC is putting out 5 lbs, the fuel won't enter the carb. Not a good situation.

        Ken,
The only way to do an electric (only) fuel pump on an R2 is to use a fuel pressure regulator like a Mallory 4309

        1970 Avanti (R3)
