  • Rear Axle: Twin traction oil or additive??

So I have a lark with the TT, I've had the car for 6-7 years and never serviced the rear end. Anyone know what the additive or best setup is for the TT rear end??

Twin Traction is just a limited slip differential, so I suggest asking differential specialists for advice, they will have appropriate fluids.

Your local FLAPS has the additive that you need

GM Fluid 88900330 added to your 90W rear lubricant. Equivalents permitted.

I use the GL-5 90w for limited slip for adding Oil.
Plus on a full oil change, a bottle of Jeep/Dodge Parts Dept. Friction Modifier which is designed for our Dana Spicer Rear Axles used in Jeeps.

I used Valvoline SynPower Full Synthetic SAE 75W-90 Limited Slip gear oil. Part No. VV975. This should be available at most FLAPS.
