Speaker vs. radio impedence

I had the Delco radio from my '63 Daytona fixed and was hoping someone with sharper electronic skills could advise me on hooking up two 4" - 4 ohm speakers to replace the old oval one, that was 10 ohms.

Could I wire them in series to get 8 ohms, so it'll work?
