hydrovac checkvalve

Would like to find out the correct way to check if the checkvalve on my hydrovac is working properly. Thanks

Take it off and blow through it.. Should only go one way... If it's leaking, you can get a newer type plastic one from S.I. or NAPA (UP89000@$9.00) and plumb it into the system. It looks like the ones on a 64 GT hydrovac. ALL the valves I found on those red "Help" kiosks, were bad. (3 different stores) (made in china crap)
