    Per the Shop Manual...To refill, repack with Studebaker Steering Gear Lube - SP-50248. To add, use high grade chassis lube.

    This would apply to 1961 - 1966 Lark types. (Saginaw steering gear)

      Let me put this another way, are the Ross and the Saginaw boxes suppose to use the same gear oil, or are they different and what's the modern equivalent to SP-50248?
