    As long as your trans. has a cable drive you can at worst get a custom speedo cable made. Most American cable drive speedos are all 1000 RPM/60 MPH and the adjustment for axle ratio and tire size is handled by changing the gears in the trans - Stude included.

    Hello everyone!
    I've been following some talk about putting other transmissions behind a Stude 6 cylinder--even considered it myself. But it just occured to me--what about the Stude speedometer? Would you have to replace it with a third party unit or is there a way it can still work with the Chevy transmission? May be a dumb question, but I really don't know. I would not want to take the Stude speedometer out. Regards----Dan
