The radiators I have are for 6 cylinders although they will fit a V-8 mounting holes.

The '65 & '66 radiator radiator supports are different because they moved the radiator forward to clear chevy engine (6 only?). I would guess that '63 and '64 are the same.

Your initial post indicated you considered using a '65-'66 radiator in a '64, that's why I commented.

Thanks Bob, that was the thought. It currently has a Stude 6 and manual trans. I'd like to swap to a V6 with a GM 4 speed automatic. I'll need to switch the mounts but it should just drop in.

Doug, was the '66 a six cylinder? They're a little different with the GM straight 6. The '63 V8 radiator I have looks like it will just drop into my '64.

I have a spare radiator for my '63 Lark and '62 pickup. I tried to install it in the Lark that has a '66 front clip and the radiator mounting holes do not line up. The later radiator may not fit without redrilling mounting holes. Measure before you buy.

I'm not sure would need to. The 4.3 is a shortened 350, but you know that, and the mounts are in the same place as the 350.

If you are setting the engine back, as I'm guessing you are planning, the answer is yes. I'll bet the top hose will work because it has good length to it so it may be OK.

The bottom hose may need lengthening but a short piece rubber hose joined by a piece of exhaust tubing the appropriate diameter is how I've done some in the past.

What I do currently do is go to the FLAPS as they let me wander around and find a hose with the correct bends. I cut it off if necessary. Don't forget they make adapter rings to reduce diameter.

    Radiator Hoses with a 4.3L V6

So I'm gonna use a 4.3L Chevy V6 in the Commander. I figure I could use a 283 V8 radiator from a '65 or '66. Could I use a metal spacer between the radiator and the V8 radiator hose?
