Heres the deal, i have a 1960 259 motor at the machine shop getting cut up, cleaned and plugged. As it turns out the machine shop cant find anything on NEW freeze plugs or New cam bearings to order up, long story short i need them order up asap as the blocks been cut and it needs to keep moving down the line before the Florida's humidity gets it and starts rusting up the fresh 0.030 job.

So heres what im going off of, its not in color but the cart is a color coated deal

1ea of Part # 1550386 "CUP" for the cam

    Am i missing any???

Now heres the other problem i dont trust the disk's ive just had bad luck with em as they rot faster.

So will the Brass plugs for the Stude V8 1962-64
"cup" type plug, P/N 1550386 work in its place

Does anyone make the whole kit ?

You CAN get brass "disks", My 259 has a couple..

And don't try to put "cups" where the "disk type" are supposed to be.........it won't work...not enough surface to "seat" on.

      Why the underlining...just curious...!

Thanks, thats what i was thinking, not enough surface to "seat" on.

        Because,
i use my living room big screen TV thats hooked to my computer threw HDMI and im sitting on my recliner with an mouse and keyboard 10 feet away from the screen and well i need glasses, just helps me out thats all, plus forgot to have it removed. Now the tricks out everyone throw that old overpriced small screen out or that laptop, kick back and relax, Ive tried every mouse out the only one that has lived is the Microsoft any-surface, blue tooth, and get a keyboard with all the bells. About 5 years ago i ran a laptop as a controller and the second screen. the possibility are endless, i havent had cable or a home phone for over 8 years as its all on the internet for free. my home phone is Google Talk and its 100% free, im not kidding. its all ran threw a 200 watt amp into huge tower speakers. I would never go back to cable and pay out the, for commercials again. We also 1080 HD video chat with family and friend. People always freek out when there over and relize i dont have cable. But as of now are 20 gig cap internet sucks its just to slow @ 6 meg, but its more useful then old fashion cable tv.

Now might be a good time to add a drain valve at the rear drivers side of the block.

I also put a petcock in the rear of the block on each side as K-Hawk recommended. While your there too, since your replacing all the freeze plugs make sure you go in & clean the water jackets REALLY GOOD especially in the rear of the block. You might even find some of the casting wire as some have found there in the past. Studebakers for whatever reason have a tendency of getting all kinds of crud buildup in the rear of the block. Otherwise you might run a bit warm, especially if you live in a warmer part of the country.

What are you doing for the camshaft, I know you mentioned getting a performance oriented grind---
