Does any one know if the trunk locks of the 59 Lark sedans all had a spring return on the cover?

Yes, they did. (not that the spring still remains functioning after all these years...) -
I have a 30K plus Lark and the trunk lock cover was without a spring. I parted out a 59 V8 4 door sedan that had a functioning lock so I swapped the lock and cut a key to suit, not to the original but to the lock that I had no key. I just wanted to have a period piece for the civilians that passed by and saw how nifty it was. "Hey Honey Look a trunk lock that has a spring loaded cover, why doesn't our car have one of those? And our's is 50 years newer than that cute as a bug whatever it is thing"Comment
