ON A POS GROUND SIYTEM I CHARGE THE BATTERY LIKE A NEG GOUND SIYTEM
I HAVE A 6 VOLT POS GROUND ALTERNATOR I JUST PUT ON IT IT WELL NOT TAKE A CHARGE
DO I HAVE TO RECHARGE THE BATTERY THU THE NEG POST ON THR BATTERY
BY PUTTING THR POS GABLE ON THE BATTERY CHARGER TO NEG SIDE OF BATTERY THANKS SPENCE FOR ALL THE INFO

It doesn't matter if the car is positive or negative ground -- the battery will not know the difference. When charging any battery, it's positive to postive and negative to negative. It probably wouldn't hurt to disconnect the chassis ground cable from the battery while connected to the charger.

As Skip indicates: PAY ATTENTION to the post markings (+ or -) ON the battery. The + lead of the charger (possibly red in color) will affix to the + lead of the battery. The - lead of the charger (likely black in color) will connect to the - post of the battery.
Doesn't matter WHICH side of the battery is connected to ground, just that you connect + to + and - to - .
