On a 12 negative ground system, the coil + goes to the distributor? Would it be opposite for a positive ground system?

And all these years I have been doing it the other way.

no, on a normal car, the coil + is the feed from the ballast resistor. The coil - goes to the points.

Now to answer your question, I would ASSume that this would be reversed for a +ive ground car, but I don't honestly know for sure.

I had TWO Questions . Does negative ground mean, + from coil to distributor. Then does positive ground mean, - from coil to distributor? Are those questions correct or backwards???

The points are the grounding path for the primary circuit.
The current flow is toward ground, which is through the points.
The act of opening the points interupts the normal flow of the primary circuit. The primary wire from the coil to the distributor should be the NEG side of the coil.
