    ...how to adjust the hood on a Hawk?
    It's always, seemingly, been a crapshoot and I'm not interested in ruining the new paint job. Any movement of the bracket, always seems more noticable at the cowl seam, rather than the grill, where it's needed.
    It closes a bit too tight on the drivers side...

    Thanks for the detail. It fit pretty well at first, but the hood was removed for painting. Also had the outer fenders off and the body mounts removed. So I guess I screwed something up. I have blue tape on key spots.

      I don't know exactly where you are having the problem, but I did manage to get mine sort of lined up by using the latch to center the grill. Then, the big revelation for me was finding that when the hinge bases were pivoted slightly they would bring the back of the hood down flush on the cowl when it was closed.
