On the linkage side of my '63 289 Stromberg WW carb {previously on an automatic trans} there is a small round dash pot or diaphram that slows the carb linkage down from closing too fast.
Is that neccesary to have on a manual trans truck?
It just feels like I dont need it and that it hangs the rpms a bit when I come to a stop.
