Wheels / Tires: My Hawk has wire wheels - Thunderbird!

I bought my Hawk with nice wire wheels:



and I thought there is an image of a hawk on the cap!

but it is a Thunderbird wheel made in china with a paintover cap




Anyone any idea?

Some vendors sell adhesive "S" discs for the centers of various wheels. I got mine from Jon Myer (Myer's Studebaker) for my Magnum 500s. See the picture below.

Looks like the importer "Simulated" the T-Bird emblem so as not to be the exact same as the Ford Patented design.

Without the lettering for a mild custom car, it does look kind of OK, and more like a Hawk.
