    I have driven several cars with hand brake/throttle controls and worked on others. I have never seen one that looked anything like this one. I just realized that I drove a Packard Hawk with hand controls. My guess is an optical horn (headlight flasher).

    My first instinct was that somebody put a trailer brake controller there!

    Dont think it has anything to do with shifting since the bowl that rotates for the shifter is behind where that stalk is mounted. My guess it may be a switch to "flash" the headlamps.

    This is on the P.H. for sale on Bonhams. Has anyone ever seen one before? Perhaps it's a Brit's way of shifting with the hand he's accustomed to shifting with?
