Other: AC on a 289 question

I am starting to work on the AC for my Lark and have a question. I have a 64 Cruiser with 289. I am trying to mount the stock compressor bracket on the engine, but I need to find out if I should use longer bolts or replace the stock bolts with studs, specifically where for the alternator bracket and the water manifold bolts. Looking at the parts book, they used longer bolts for the water manifold, and a stud for the alternator. Just curious what others have done. I am using Bob Helm's converter bracket for the stock brack to compressor.

On all of mine, longer bolts were used.

Used longer ARP bolts for a power steer'g conversion bracket. Purchased direct from ARP - Very helpful people.
