My Wife has claimed the 63 Lark Regal I bought a few months ago as her own, but the pedal effort of the manual drum brakes scared her too much to drive it. I bought a front disc brake kit from Jim Turner which went together flawlessly. (Thanks Jim!) But, I still wanted power brakes. I checked out the local pick-n-pull, and found a master cyl, power booster and bracket on a 1986 AMC Concord that measured up perfectly. I cut off the rod at the appropriate length, threaded it with a 1/2 NF die, and used a precision heim joint to attach it to the pedal. I ran all new steel lines, bled the system, and the entire combo works great. She was driving all over town last Sunday. For less than $100.00, including a rebuilt master cyl from NAPA, I now have power brakes!
