    Mr Biggs, Is there a good mechanic you can put me in touch with that is familiar with the flightomatic transmission, and is located in our general vicinity, Visalia, Hanford, Fresno? thanks

    Not any more. There was a guy here in Visalia - an oldtimer who had his own shop -, but he's retired and sold his shop to some young sorts. These guys just wrinkle up their nose and say "STUDEBAKER!???"

    There IS a shop here in Visalia that's run by an old hot-rodder. Guy looks like a cross between a hippie and a biker dude, but he knows cars! Mid-Valley Transmission on East Main - ask to speak to Butch and tell him Studeebob sent you.
    I don't know what they might charge and I've never had them do any work for me but I do know that Butch won't just turn you away.
